Rebbe Steiner Sajele of Kerestir studied in Liska at the home of Reb Hershele Friedmann, where he immersed himself in profound Torah knowledge and wisdom. This knowledge paved the way for his remarkable journey in serving the community.

The spiritual center of Hasidism

In Reb Hershele Friedman's time, Liska (Olaszliszka) rose as a spiritual center for Hasidism, where thousands gathered to meet him.

Moshe Teitelbaum’s lasting influence.

Hershele's initial knowledge was acquired by Yismach Moshe, who was the Rebbe of Ujhely (Sátoraljaújhely).  Teitelbaum nominated Hershele as his successor, whose wisdom travels the world every day.
